Kaycie Ortega is a great example of how WyoTech students can make an impact in the industry.
Raised in Laramie, Wyoming, Kaycie grew up with a love of the automotive industry. Her dad being an instructor at WyoTech, she was raised to know the importance and the distinctiveness of the world of cars. This was one of the main things that drew her to WyoTech’s Automotive and Trim and Upholstery programs. While she was here, she decided to take Street Rod and Applied Service Management as well. Graduating from WyoTech in September of 2013, she has worked in a few different aspects of the industry, but is currently using the education and experience she has gained to work on aircraft. “The knowledge of the tools I attained from WyoTech continue to help me in my everyday work.”
Kaycie also offers a piece of advice to anyone considering attending or currently attending WyoTech- “Learn everything that you can from the instructors, then use that knowledge to help you strive for the future you want to achieve. No question is a dumb question, so don’t be afraid to ask; the answer may be something you will use for the rest of your life.”
